Quick question: Where do you shop for your beauty products? Department stores? Drug stores? Direct sellers? How about your local vinegar and oil shop?
Recently, a friend introduced me to vomFASS, an oil and vinegar shop in Cary, North Carolina. We browsed through the delicious varieties of vinegar, spices, and oils. Just as we were about to leave, we noticed a small table that had a display of charming bottles filled with colorful oils particularly beneficial to the skin, nails, and hair. One of the oils was described to us as ‘liquid gold’. Perhaps the oil got that nickname from it’s color or because of it’s precious benefits.
If you haven’t guessed, the liquid gold is actually Rosehips oil, sometimes called rose seed oil. The oil is known for it’s anti-aging capabilities. Needless to say, I bought a bottle that day and have been applying it to my face daily ever since. While I don’t necessarily feel I look younger (…yet), I do feel that blemishes quickly diminished and my skin has become quite a bit softer. Also, it is suggested to apply twice daily and I have only been applying it once in the morning. Perhaps if I follow the directions better, I will see more of this oil’s extraordinary effects. Nevertheless, I am very happy with how the Rosehips oil is tightening and brightening my skin even with half of the recommended dose.
If you prefer to shop at your favorite department store, Target or Amazon, here are some quick links to get Rosehips oil in your beauty regimen quickly.

Packed with essential fatty acids and antioxidants, including vitamins A, C, and E, it is no surprise that this oil is such a treasure to the skin. These components work together to beautify, moisturize, and heal. Collagen and Elastin are increased leaving skin firm and smooth. I was definitely compelled to purchase this oil to help tighten my pores and even my skin tone; however, I was also intrigued by the healing it can provide to burns and scars. This oil is able to penetrate deeply hydrating the skin and regenerating cells to help smooth out scars, just as it does wrinkles, stretchmarks, and sun-weathered skin.
The beauty process is simple: wash and gently dry your skin; apply the oil twice a day, 2-3 drops at a time; massage into the area you would like to treat. You will notice that the oil absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy feel to the skin. Do not rinse the oil off. Your Rosehips oil will most likely last for a long time, so it may be best to keep it refrigerated, or at least out of the sunlight. With any new product, you may want to apply to a small area first and watch for an allergic reaction.
If you are local to the Cary area, you will find vomFASS in the Waverly Place Shopping Center. The owner, Julie, was so helpful and informative with all her products. She encouraged us try as much of the oil as we wanted, as well as others, such as Argon, which is beneficial to the hair and nails. She also has a booth at the Apex Farmers Market that is held on Saturday mornings. If you are not local to the Cary or Apex area, you can always shop vomFASS online.
